Forums cleanup: Please help

We need a little help cleaning up the forums. Sometimes people post there and old, obsolete things about ancient tours remains.

If you are reading in the forum and come across an item that is out of date, irrelevant, or generally obsolete, please click the little link below it that says "mark obsolete". We'll delete it and we can have a less-cluttered site.

Touring Notes - Your tours, planned tours, looking for riders

Dear travelers,

I and my boyfriend plane to start a travel all around Asia in september for one year:
Turquey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Thaïlande, Laos, Vietnam, China, Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kirghizstan, Ouzbekistan, Turkmenistan...

Would appreciate advice for this year's ride or any comments or suggestions on the route, or for our trip.

cycling Turkey, Iran, Oman, India ...

We are Benoit and Michele from Montreal Canada. In a few days, we will take a flight to Istanbul Turkey to start a long bicycle trip for a year or more. Our very rough itinerary for the beginning is:
Turkey - 6 weeks, to mid October 2011
Iran - 30 days (or longer we hope)
Oman - 1 month, December
India - 2 months, January-February
... and after that, possibly Sri Lanka and on to southeast Asia.
From Istanbul Turkey, we want to take a ferry to Bandirma and cycle a bit south to Izmir at least and from there to head east. If anyone has suggestions, or will be cycling around the same area then, please contact us. Maybe we can meet up or at least share ideas of routes!
