There are a number of technologies used here:
- Drupal, an open source web content management system, is the core. It uses the PHP language and the the mysql database to do its job.
- The Google Maps API does the map presentation.
- We turn addresses into points on the map (geocode the addresses) using Google's geocoding service as well as the fine service from geonames.org

Google loves cyclists.
Google maps are very useful and because Google loves cyclists, they introduced and added another feature for Google maps. It is the Google Maps for bicyclists. Yes. Google maps for cyclists. Don’t you think that’s nice? It gives cyclists a guide of their trails for their rides.
