On Sunday afternoon, 11/8/09, I was pleased to get a call from Andy Nguyen asking for accommodations that night. He was near Mobile, Alabama, and making his way North when he experienced mechanical problems. Luckily, he was able to catch a ride with a student returning to school in Birmingham. The next day I took him to the Chief Ladiga Trail which, with the Silver Comet trail in Georgia, takes him to Atlanta. Andy impressively started his ride in San Jose, CA, and paid for his stay with me by relating the experiences he had had on his trip. I very much enjoyed having Andy with me, and recommend him as a guest.
