New and I am very LOST
Hi All,
I hope your well. I am about to embark on a tour of Holland in April for 3 weeks. I have never toured before, as I am usually a road cyclist. I am so excitied to be doing this, and hope that I can do alot more.
I just really have no idea what to take, size of bags etc? I will hire a bike in Holland for the 3 week period.
Any advise or help would be awesome, as I am going round in circles now lol
Thank you
Izak

Hints for Izak trip Netherlands
Hello Izak,
This is my first post on this site; so I wonder if this works.
I do not know what you mean with: as I am going round in circles now
But here I try:
Renting a bike could be done by Googling on “rent a bike in Amsterdam”;
Option to buy a bike and sell afterwards:
http://www.fietswinkelamsterdam.com/
Type of bike; I would prefer racks on the rear wheel so the bike can carry bags on it.
Option: Buy or lend cycle bags; put backpacks or 2 tiny bags within the bike bag [“pannier”]; protect them by plastic garbage bag against the rain
This is image of a trekking bike, if I succeed copying it! No, it doesnot
Routes through the netherlands
LF-routes are already being mentioned:
http://www.landelijkefietsroutes.nl/routes/
see left column; you can take the Lf 1, number 10, 14, 3, 13 or 5 and then again 1.
Around the Netherlands:
Rond van Nederland:
http://www.fietsplatform.nl/publicaties/?publicatie=16
You also can take the numbers 5 or 6 through Belgium
You can buy maps or books in Amsterdam / Alkmaar:
http://maps.google.nl/maps?hl=nl&source=hp&oq=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=reisboekh...
Or:
http://www.reisboekhandel.nl/winkels
Is this helpful? I hope so.
Greetings Rein
