NY to Argentina
hi all my name is greg and i am currently on the Texas border and crossing into Mexico - my route (nothing definite) is along the gulf coast then across above mex city towards pacific coast- central am - columbia - ven - brazil up the amazon - peru, where i will stop for a bit to see friends and play - along andean chain to ushuaia. would welcome any company - my pace is not blistering averages about 70 miles a day in the us (lousy fall and winter for riding the east coast!)I have a good bit of experience traveling, riding, and can't wait to be back in the andes.

I did most of your route on a motorcycle and on a bicycle through Brazil. Wish I could join you if I had more money!
that's life... I will recharge and do it again.
As for Brazil, there is some beautiful riding along the coast and in the mountain ranges of Chapada Diamantina.
Drivers and truckers in particular are completely ingornant towards cyclists. It can be dangerous at times but I think it is not much different throughout Latin America.
