A cat that didn't live at this warmshowers home welcomed us to Alice's place in Montell after we'd had a day of riding in freezing rain. She showed us to the room in the carport but didn't know how to light the pilot on the heater...too hard with four paws. We got warm and dry and made tea before Alice's daughter arrived just before dark. It was two days after Xmas. Alice was in Uvalde with her sick mom. With all this on their plates, we still had a wonderfully warm welcome and everything we needed...although we missed out getting to visit much with this amazing family.
