Tour from Cincinnati to Portland Need as much advice as you can offer!!!
We are rookies at the touring thing so all suggestions welcome.
Here is a little about our route.
from cinci to idianapolis from there to st. louis. then taking the katy trail the whole length. from there we dont have a definate route but would like to zig zag to see yellowstone, glacier national, and for sure yosemite.
If you have any tips (awesome road bike trails, cool spots to hit up along the way, bike stores we cant miss, or perhaps a list of buffets along the way!!??) they would all be greatly appreciated.
If you think maybe your couch is along the way we are a friendly and loving group of three looking for music and good people along the way. Thanks to all!!!!
Please email at amandap0707@gmail.com because this website is still a little confusing
BTW we leave on July 5 and have no time constraints

Katy Trail
I live in St. Louis and I know the length of the Katy Trail like the tires on my bike! In fact, a friend and I just biked from Kansas City to Booneville, where we picked up the KT for the remainder of the ride to St. Louis. Will you be camping along the trail. If you let me know your approximate distance per day, I could help you with choosing places to eat and sleep from St. Louis, where you pick up the trail, to Clinton, Missouri, where the trail ends.
touring
I'm Ft Collins, CO if you're passing this way. It is a nice Bike friendly community.
Cincinnati to Portland
You might want to head north after the Katy and take the Lewis and Clark trail to Sioux City and then head across South Dakota to the Black hills and then over to yellowstone. I get lots of touring cyclists that take that route. I will be cycling on RAGBRAI the last week of July, but you are welcome to hit me up at Sioux City any other time.
