Milwaukee-NYC,how to get through Chicago, Riders?
Submitted by cabach on Tue, 2008-06-17 12:25.
Howdy, I'm planning on completing my cross-country this summer starting in Milwaukee and ending in NYC. 2 weeks, begining July 28. Looking for riders. 60 year old male, camping, no cooking, 70-80mi/day. Anyone have a good way through Chicago to end up on the adventure cycling route in Indiana? Thanks, Carl
thru Chicago
I'm leaving July 23rd for a trip around Lake Michigan and will be doing the Chicago-Hammond-Gary thing as well. I'm going to take the Lakefront Bike path thru the city, 41 to 12/20, to Kennedy (South) and then to Ridge (East). I'm not familiar with where the Adv. route is, but this will bring you south of the industrial wasteland.
Thru Chicgo
I found the Kennedy - Ridge part on a NW Indiana Bike map and that works great as Ridge turns into Hwy 6 and it looks like I will follow that through Pennsylvania. Thanks
The Milwaukee-Muskegon ferry
The Milwaukee-Muskegon ferry perhaps? That's how we're getting to Milwaukee in a couple of weeks.
