Riding down from Seattle to San Diego in August! Would love to meet folk along the way!

Hello, I'll be cruising down the west coast of the states this coming August and hope to meet a few other members as I roll along. For the most part I'll be following the PCH/Bicentennial route, with slightly more direct detours if a particular section looks to be a little too circuitous.

As far as me: I'm clean (once I take a shower), respectful, and 5'-10".
I'm an architect living in Philadelphia, with a slight penchant for wandering off to take small-ish cycling tours as airfare prices deem fit, and racing locally (when airfare prices don't) at an amateur level.

Please feel free to take a peek at my Facebook or Myspace pages to verify my height.

:)

I plan on searching the map for west coast members over the next few weeks as I try to plan out my loose itinerary, but please also send me an email if you wouldn't mind me attacking your couch after a day of (hopefully) massive miles.

Thanks!

Joe

Also, I hear the road can be a little narrow in spots. Are there enough cyclists out there at this time of year that vehicles are used to the idea of our presence?

Cycling the West Coast - Seattle to San Diego

Josephrey,

Shoot me an email saul@isomedia.com or phone 206.313.0107 if you need a place to stay in either Seattle or San Diego - I live both places. It's a wonderful route, especially Highway 101 in Oregon, although I have to admit that I like detouring through the Williamette Valley on the numerous dirt and chip seal roads. One nice route would be riding inland past Portland and to Corvallis then heading west to Alsea and Lobster Valley Road out to the coast and then 101 south.
