Looking for Hosts and Advice for West Coast Tour

Touring Notes - Your tours, planned tours, looking for riders

Three friends and I are riding down the west coast from August 24 - September 16. Eric Reynold, Ellis Robinson, Tim Arnold will be leaving from Seattle on August 24 and I (Arup Mallik) will be meeting in Portland on August 30. We all have profile on this website.

We are taking the 31 off to give me a chance to set up my bike and let the other three take a break. Couple questions

1. Can anyone host us the night of the 30th (a spot to camp is fine)?
2. how readily accessible is public transportation from the Portland airport (PDX)?

I plan on shipping by bike to either a bike shop or am hoping that one of you all is generous enough to receive my gear and the 4 of us.

3. Can anyone recommend a good bike shop to ship the bike to?
