Feedback on my trip from Geneva -> Down to EV8 -> Across France to Spain -> to Santiago de Compostela -> Porto

Dear WS Community,

Starting 1st of May, I'll start a solo touring trip from Geneva to Porto.
(See attached image for the Route).

Two questions to the community:
1. Any feedback on the route? The specific cities are in "the appendix"
I am particularly doubtful on the Barcelona -> San Sebastian part. I could go to Zaragoza -> Pamplona but that might be a desert.
An alternative would be to skip Barcelona and go along the EV1 that goes through the Pyrenees. Comments?

2. I'm looking also for hosts or tips to stay. I will have a tent.
Invites are appreciated :)

2.1 Travel partners are also welcomed.

Hi,

Vallée du Rhone in France, i recommand avoid the river and stay 20-40 kms east of the river, you will find small and nice roads, i heard it's difficult to follow the cycle road near the Rhone, the cycle road is no finished and there is a lot of traffic in the valley.

North of Spain, you choose the camino Nord, i did it last year in april, very hard way, you always go up 100 meters hight then down to zero. Very difficult and i had 2 weeks of rain there. With the altlantic ocean in this season be prepared to have bas weather. But with all thoses yellow waypoints, i think you may have one month of sun :-)

Good luck and good trip

Florent
