Hi,
We re going to make an itinerant travel in United Kingdom this summer ,in the south ( kent sussex hampshire )
I m going with 2 bicycle ( my wife and me ) and 2 kids.
I need to know the law in England about helmet for kids: is there any obligation ?
Second question, we use to put our tent were there is now one, to sleep for the night, i think it s called "wild camping "in english. are we allowed to do it in england ? is there any recommandation ? ?
thanks for your answer.
jo
Hi Jo, there is no law for helmet wearing in the UK. Unfortunately wild camping is not legal in England with the exception of Dartmoor. However the South East has lots of wooded areas despite the high population density and you should not have a problem finding either a good wild camping spot or a small camp site on a farm.
I am based in Wadhurst, East Sussex but I am currently in Poland. If you need any help please do not hesitate to contact me.
