My Mrs and I are travelling to Tromso in July for a 6 week bicycle tour. This will be our first big Bicycle tour so we are a bit nervous. At anyrate if anyone has flown in and out of Tromso and has any advice or experiences they would like to share we would be very appreciative.

is an easy going country (except for the weather and maybe cost of life )
you can put your tent everywhere ( away from home ) but the ground is not always easy
take good clothes : we have waterproff pants ans jackets , shoes cover and neopren gloves
I prefer senja island and vesteralen as they are less touristic
sorry in french my trip
and another one (with better weather) from tromso
I travelled from Oslo to NordKapp last summer. Norway is great but Lofoten Island are really gorgeous, I think you should spend many days there, and also to visit places not so popular. Norway roads are very safe but with a lot of tunnel, rember to bring lamps and an orange jacket. With wheter was quite difficolt, but it changes all time!
Here there is info about biking in Tromsa Area
If you are flying into Tromsø, pack your bike very very well. The baggage is very roughly handled there. We’ve taken bikes 3 times in via Tromsø airport and they were badly damaged twice, despite very careful packaging. It might also be worth insuring against damage in transit.
Lofoton is beautiful and you can connect the islands via ferries. There are plenty of official campsites as well as beaches to camp on. However, be aware, there are also a lot of tourists who have found out about free camping in Scandinavia, so it may be difficult to find a nice spot- unless you stop early, it will already be filled by a campervan or car camper.
I prefer vesteralens and senja island
between motothome ,camper van ,forest , stone and marsh yes "it may be difficult to find a nice spot" especialy along E10
