I'm looking for an affable fellow cycle tourist (M/F age 35+) with a light sense of humor who enjoys good conversation and can cheerfully go with the flow to join me for a 30-day trip around the coasts of two of the friendliest and most ruggedly beautiful countries in Europe. Approximately 1,000 miles and 40 miles a day average.
June-July of 2022. Flying into and out of Shannon. B&B accommodations. Dinners in restaurants and pubs. Lively trad music most evenings.
We'll bike the majestic Connemara loop, the Beara, Iveragh and Dingle Peninsulas, climb Glengesh Pass, Moll's Gap and the Gap of Dunloe, wobble on the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and the Giant's Causeway and ferry to the Aran Islands and a few other offshore islands.
With its extensive network of peaceful back roads, pleasantly cool summer days (50°-60° F), light rain, attractive towns, villages and fishing hamlets, pre-historic sites, good food and beers and Europe's most hospitable people, Ireland is a joy to see by bicycle.
