Hi all,
I'm new to the forum so don't bite please :-)
As per the subject title, anyone done the ride from Calais to Strasbourg? Looking for route advice, ideally with camping en route, official and unofficial
Any help appreciated,
Thanks

Hi Gavin,

Maybe You can use this site:

In Metz you have a perfect camping for cyclist. It is in the City at the river Moselle with pic-nic-tables, wifi, worth to stay 2 nights.
Also I can recommend the camping site in Saverne not direstly on the Canal, it is up the hill.
From Metz you can go on D5 to Sillegny (medivial church), than D70 until Brin-sur Seille, change on D77 to Vic sur Seille (camping on a lake) - Marsal (You are in the Saltland)- Blanche Eglise (Gite d'Etape pour 11 €) - Tarquimpol - Guermange - Rhodes - reach the canal des Houillères (bicycle path) go south to the canal Marne au Rhin and than east until Saverne. From Saverne a half day along the canal to Strasbourg.
That's great, thanks for the information :-)
