we are 2 french cyclists actually in australia until the end of the month. we would like to send our bikes to brest, france after the trip by air or by boat, it depends on the price. it's supposed to be cheaper by boat but the cheapest price we have found is 550$ to paris and it's up to 2000$! we have seen a few compagnies in sydney but if you have any suggestion it will be great! thaks!

I am sure you love your bikes, but if they are of any quality at all you should be able to recover most of your investment, plus their new owners will cherish them for many years to come.
Add that to the money you save by not shipping them -> UPGRADE TIME!!! ;) when you return home.

Nous avons 2 amis qui reviennent justement d'australie... Ils sont ensuite aller en Nvlle Caledonie, le colis leur en a coute à peine 30 eur / vélo. (Prix la pOste France)
Nous avons receptionné les vélos... 2 mois plus tard, par bateau, nickel.

wow! avec quelle compagnie ils ont fait affaire car nous avons bien cherche sur le net et rien trouve en bas de 550$ pour un transport maritime. la poste australienne est m moins chere mais la taille des cartons est superieure a la taille autorisee pour un colis. Merci!

C'est vrai que quand on mentionne le mot " tandem " :
Ou bien c'est le double du prix ou l'expression " hors norme " est mentionnée.
Avez-vous déjà essayé de placer un tandem dans la soute à bagages d'un autobus?
Ce qu'il faut entreprendre ce sont des pressions politiques dans chaque pays.
