My wife and I are coming to the Dordogne region of France the first week of September. I have some preliminary ideas of towns and lodging but I would love to talk with locals and or others who have toured this region. I will need good route maps and it would be great if we could find some locals or other tourists to ride with.
Sept 10-13 we will drive across france to Alpe du huez and climb this legend on our tandem.

Used Michelin and (IGN?) road maps. Plenty of detail. Michelin shows incline % with >, >>, >>> signs. Alp D'Huez will be >>>>, I guess.
