Hi there,
We are currently Cycle Touring from Frankfurt & have traveled via Mainz, Worms, Speyer, Neuf-Brisach, Mulhouse, Basal, Rheinfelden, Stein am Rhein & are headed to Lake Constance. We will then cycle the Danube. I am wondering if someone could provide advice on routes (if it is a decent idea) to travel from Passau to Frankfurt by bike?? I am not seeing much on this anywhere. I realize it is not the most beautiful tour but it is what we would lke to do. If anyone can provide information it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hi,
I thought about the trail "Main-Donau-Radweg" from Kelheim to Bamberg and "Main-Radweg" to Frankfurt. I did it some years ago. Also the first part could be the "Taubertal-Radweg", I heard about but I didn't drive it myself.
Regards Sebastian
Hi,
Currently researching a route similar to your request. From Passau go north to the Iron Curtain Trail (Map 3 of this EuroVelo Route.) Follow the Iron Curtain trail to Cheb and go west to the Main Radweg and follow that to Frankfurt on the Main. My wife and I expect to ride from the boot of Italy to Frankfurt sometime in the next couple of years. We have not ridden any of this suggested route.

hello,
I think the most beautiful way is from Frankfurt to Wertheim on the Main-cykel-route, then continuing on the Tauber-cykel-route to Rothenburg ob der Trauber and then take the Altmuehl-cykel-route to Kehlheim, which is located at the Danube river. I guess that this might come close to the shortest way from Frankfurt to Passau.
Have good trip
Thomas
