Any information on cycling the old silk road from China and heading West. Well, actually leaving from Northern Thailand so any advice on getting up to the start of the silk route would be great too!

Hi Abi,
nice trip you want to ride.
But I think so, it`s easier to take the road to Kashgar and then riding the Stans. From there you`ll have the choice to go Russia or to ride Iran and Turkey. Second is more interesting cause much more culture.
