Im planning a tour around Europe this Spring. Well, when I say planning I mean I'm going to cycle and see what happens. I leave from Ireland mid April, perhaps a ferry to France and cycle down to Italy. I want to be in Tuscany for a week on the 8th of june, and in Sicily on the 21st/22nd to meet my family,so may have to take a train to do that. But apart from that I don't really have any solid plans, I would like to see as much as possible, but am in no rush. I hope to end my trip in Istanbul late summer.
I will wild camp, hostel and use warm showers, or campsites, as my needs and moods dictate. The cheaper I can do it the longer I can cycle, but I want to see, do and eat things on this trip so we'll see how it works out finically.
If anyone wants to join me for a part of this get in touch. I cycle a bit but have never spent more than three or four days on a bike, and camping, so this will all be new to me. I also have no idea how much I can or will cycle each day, I suppose I'll find that out. I get on with most people and think it would be good to spend some time cycling with other people, I enjoy travelling with others as you see a different perspective and do things you may not normally try.
I understand its pretty hard to make plans to meet up when I have very little idea when and where ill be, but where there is a will, there is a way.
So if your thinking of doing the same this Spring, let me know and maybe we can cycle together.
