Colorado Front Range trail - or how to get from Arvada to Pueblo

Hello,
We are about to leave Arvada, Co (between Boulder and Denver) for Pueblo, Co to meet the Trans Am ACA Route. The information on the Front Range Trail is all at least 3 years old and suggests it is not good riding. Does anyone have any more recent info?
