We are planning a cycling tour from Taiwan to Lithuania and want to get the best and safest route. With the recent unrest in Turkey, how safe would you say it would be to cycle through for us? We would be there around June 2017 :)

Keep an eye on travel advisories, for example: https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/alertswarnings/turkey-travel-warning.html
Anything can happen between now and June 2017, but I doubt that Turkey would be the main safety problem on your route through Asia.
