A question to all well traveled cyclists out there. Where is it easy or hard to find different valve types and wheel sizes around the world?
Where can you for an example not expect to find a 26" presta or a 20" Shrader. For example in Sweden I sometimes had a hard time finding a 26" presta but no trouble finding a 26" shrader. From what I've been told 28" is uncommon outside "the western world"
So What is the truth? What is your experience with finding spare tires/ valves and tubes?
Sweden - My experience.
29" Sold in bicycle stores.
28" Most used size, sold everywhere.
27.5" Starting to get popular on MTB, Sold in Bicycle stores.
26" Starting to dissapear, sold mostly to MTB hard to find anyting for a touring bike.
26 > No real experince. I have seen smaller weels in most LBS that sells kids bikes.
26" and 28" can be found everywhere everything else at a bicycle store.
26" found from 1,75" and bigger. Thinner sizes can be hard to find.
Woods valves: most common on "normal" bikes. Found everywhere.
Schrader Secound most common and often the choice on many MTBs. Also found everywhere.
Presta: Seen on racers and some MTB. only available in bike stores.
