Mexico,Central America

Planning to head south by bicycle, from San Diego in mid November down Baja, ferry over to the mainland from LaPaz,then south along the west coast through Mexico into Central America to the Panama Canal. Then start up the east coast back into Mexico and return to the US.I'm a mid fifties male, lots of touring experience, very flexible with the route or any other concerns you may have, plan to use alot of hotels, but will have camping equipment as well.I'd like to average around seventy miles a day, with rest days as needed.Only know very basic Spanish,so if your fluent,it would be very helpful.

Hi Brian,

Hi Brian,

I'm interested, and speak Spanish fluently, albeit with an accent from Spain. 70 miles a day seems doable, though I don't know what the elevation gains/losses would be like. I'm late 20's, don't have lots of touring experience apart from a recent 12-day tour through the Pac NW cascades.

Ben,Thanks for the response,I'm looking for someone who wants to go the whole way,are you up for it?The daily mileage I put down was only a general number,I am willing to do what ever is comfortable for you.I am already on the road and have been since April,am actually in your back yard because I'm crossing the Columbia in about an hour into Washington. Here's a link for my journal if you want to take a look www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/wildbynature If you want to have a conversation about the trip, send me your number, and I'll give you a call.

Hi Brian - I am also

Hi Brian - I am also interested - have always wanted to cycle south America and those dates suit me well - I am 24 y/o male - would be able to cope with 70 miles a day and similarly flexible on accommodation/route etc - my language skills are pretty dire though.
