Have a look at this survey. Do you think the prices listed in it, related to your country, are really those ones you pay?
When I check the Swedish food prices it seems to me it omits low price food chains, so popular in Sweden, so vegetable/fruit prices are here too high.

I live in the USA.  Since my country is geographically large, there is a wide spread of prices.  For instance, housing where I live (Oklahoma) is relatively inexpensive compared to the NE or California.  Energy costs are signicantly cheaper here.  Food prices are mostly cheaper.  On the other hand, some expenses like air fare are higher than large metro areas like Los Angeles or NYC.
