Frame is originally build in Italy by “Viner” but sold at the French/International sport stores “Decathlon”. Build with double butted (0,9-0,5-0,9 mm.) Dedacciai Zero cromolybdeen tubing, which results in a frame weight of (only) 1850 gram. Dropouts made by Ritchey. Original price Decathlon Rockrider 740 € 1250,-.
This bike is bought (and used) in Holland as a mountainbike, then converted into a touring-bike/gravel racer/light, all-road, go-anywhere velo and has been used for one fully loaded (+/- 15 kilo gear) 3-week cycle-tour Holland-Spain where it turned out to be a stable and reliable platform for loaded touring.
The bike has recently had a complete strip down/overhaul whereby old, worn-out or doubtful components have been replaced, condition is excellent, however it has a few scuffs and scratches and a few chips consistant with touring use.

As you already might have noticed this bicycle is not a heavyweight, rather light, also steelframes have some “natural flex”, so for heavy riders (+ 90 kilo) or heavy loads through remote areas (Sahara, Siberia) this might be not your first choice, however it still is an excellent bike for most western world cycle adventures! Very suiteble for road, off-road or gravel paths. Bike can be delivered (for a little extra fee) in many places and or airports in Spain. I have more touring gear availeble; tent, self inflating mattras, bicycle bags/-panniers. Contact me if needed!
