Living in Vancouver - Need a few Cycling Buddies

I am living in Vancouver and am constantly looking to go on cycling adventures of all types. It would be much more enjoyable if I had some like-minded people to share these adventures with. If you are living in the general area, or even coming to visit for a little while, and might be interested in going on some sort of trip together, get in touch. Hope to hear from a few people. Below is a few details about me (and my bikes) so you know what to expect.

I have a Trek 520 touring bike that I can load up with a full set of panniers and camping equipment. I have done a few long distance tours in recent years. I also have recently bought a Kona Big Honzo hardtail mountain bike. I am trying to do more bikepacking style adventures. The types of trips I am interested in can be single day, over-night all the way to multi-week self-supported. I am 26 and pretty fit. Could cycle 150km+ a day if required but also happy to do shorter distances. Basically, I am open to going on a wide range of adventures.

Donal,

Donal,

I'm pretty interested in joining on some of your adventures. I've done a couple of adventures in BC last year and had fun. On one of my four day weekends I can make it happen. Send me a direct message when you have something planed out.

What type of Trip?

Hey Krispin,

What type of cycling do you do or type of bike? Road, mountain, gravel, trails etc. If you have any particular trips, routes or areas to visit in mind that would be cool.

I do mixed terrain about 80%

I do mixed terrain about 80% road 20% gravel but that really only depends on where I'm going. Last year I did Washington to Vancouver BC and over to Golden Ears.

One weekend we could do Abbotsford to Chilliwack lake park and/or Skagit valley set up camp and return.

Spipiyup provincial park is a place I want to ride and check out this year as well. If you want to come out here to WA for some routes let me know.

BC Adventure

If there are any routes you want to do then take the lead and send me some information and I will likely join. I am new to the area and haven't done much really so there are too many options to chose :P I will keep in touch for any plans I do have. Nothing in the next 6 weeks or so as mostly doing hiking trips at the moment.
