Budapest to Zagreb.

We leave Budapest in the morning. We have a flight to Cologne from Zagreb in 5 days, so plan on cutting the ride with some train. We were told at the station that we can only bring our tandem as far as Nagykanizsa. We wanted to ride around the lake and then hop a train, but this doesn’t seem possible. Does anyone know a route from Nagykanizsa to Zagreb? THe maps I found are not detailed enough to help much. We are on a road tandem, so mud and gravel are not good routes for us.
