VELOTREK: Cycling tours (TIBET, Ladakh, Pamir...)

Hello all!

We are Corinne and Joseba, a Swiss-Spanish couple that has cycled around the world from 2009 to 2013 through Asia (Iran to Japan), Africa (Egypt to Cape Town) and the Americas (Texas to Ushuaia and up to Sao Paulo - Brazil). We have cycled so far about 65,000 km through 53 countries.

Back to Europe we have created a travel agency offering tours by bicycle and treks in these places we have enjoyed the most during our travel: Central Asia, Himalayas, Pamir and Karakoram.
The site is: http://velotrek.weebly.com

For 2015 we are building a cycling group for TIBET (the famous Friendship Highway: Kathmandu-Lhasa) departing end of September.
As you know nowadays and since 2008 it is not possible anymore to cycle in Tibet independently. You have to be part of a guided group with special permits.
We give you the option to be part of a group and cycle one of the most famous roads in the world. Yes, we know cycling in a group is not as cycling alone but given the current circumstances in Tibet we will try to give you as much freedom as we can.
And furthermore you will benefit from our services (2 support cars -you do not have to carry your own luggage while crossing several 5,000m high passes and if you are tired you can always jump into the car-, all meals, camping, guesthouse and guide&permits for Tibet included).

We will personally guide the tour and take care of everything!
Enjoy the beautiful landscape of the high plateau with the Himalayan chain, Everest Base Camp at Rongbuk and the Tibetan villages with their ancient history while you cycle this famous road.

We also organise other cycling tours:
- Pamirs: Along the Silk Road (Tajikistan)
- In the country of the yurt (Kyrgyzstan)
- Ladakh: the little Tibet (North India)
- Annapurna Round (Nepal)

If you feel like please take a look on the site and the specific cycling tours.
You are more than welcome to join us!

All the best,
Corinne and joseba
