The following road closure of the Saddle Road, which connects Ashhurst to Woodville, will impact on the Palmerston North to "Pahiatua" section of the Palmerston North to Masterton leg.
The Saddle Road closure:
Monday 12 February to Friday 23 February
Monday to Thursday: 9am and 4pm.
Friday: 10am and 4pm.
will see all traffic detoured via State Highway 2 and over the Pahiatua Track.
This means a lot a heavy traffic on the Pahiatua Track, a windy hilly section with no shoulder.
There is no nearby alternative route.
The Saddle Road will remain open in the evenings (after 4pm) and on weekends .
